While We're Talking About The Writer's Strike...

The sequel to Superman Returns may be delayed (not such a bad thing?) and the JLA movie may suffer as a result of the writer’s strike. Not good for Warner Bros and definitely not good for those of us who have been waiting for a decent DC superhero movie to hit the big screen (OK, Batman Begins was good, but we need more than one!!!).

An (Expensive) All-In-Wonderful Tabletop Unit From Denon

The Denon S-52 may be the coolest music gadget this season:

  • iPod dock/charger
  • 802.11 or Ethernet access to networked music libraries
  • regular *and* HD Radio reception
  • Denon build and sound quality

It’s a shame it costs a mortgage payment.. If anyone picks one up (preferably via the link to the left), let me know how it sounds. I’ll wait for a fell-off-a-truck sale.

You can get more info directly from Denon via their blog entry Strange, tho, that you can’t go to blog.denon.com directly and even more strange that there’s no RSS feed, but they must be doing something right it they can get people to pay $700.00 for a small device that plays music.

Iron ManIt’s official. Iron Man hits the big screen in May of 2008:

Marvel Studios is a subsidiary of Marvel Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: MVL). Jon Favreau will direct the film, based on Marvel’s best-selling Iron Man comic book character.

The Iron Man film will be produced by Avi Arad, creative advisor to Marvel Studios, and Kevin Feige. Executive Producers are Ari Arad, Mr. Favreau and Louis D’Esposito. This project, the first feature film to be produced independently by Marvel Entertainment, is expected to be financed through Marvel’s $525 million revolving film financing facility and distributed under Marvel’s overall distribution arrangement with Paramount.
