The Graebel truck pictured in the post was one of two necessary to haul all our stuff from PA to WA. It took the four lads from ~9am - ~6pm to haul everything into the house into the (mostly) correct designated rooms. Most everything survived and not much was missing (so far). There are a *ton* of boxes and the house in (what feels like chaos). However, getting our "stuff" has helped the place feel even more like home.
Tonight that feeling should be even more complete since the rest of the fam makes their way here today (*finally*)! You can track both legs of their trip via those two flightstats.com links. (Theres a great flight tracker OS X Dashboard Widget you can use as well - Southwest Airlines flights 2203 and 1251).
Now, we just have to unpack everything and settle in (and have a few more yard sales).
I had the chance to meet you
I had the chance to meet you at the MACSA technology meeting in the spring of 2007. I hadn't realized that you'd left the East Coast.
Sounds like your move went smoothly & I hope you enjoy your new home.
Hey Tim... The Seattle-thing
Hey Tim...
The Seattle-thing came suddenly upon us and we had to seize the opportunity. The nee diggs are great! The mountain of boxes - not so much... *:^)
Hi boB, I'm glad you're
Hi boB,
I'm glad you're finally settling in; it must have seemed like a lifetime.
How did the flight with mom and the rest of the gang go? Is she doing ok in the transition?
I noticed your rain comment - enjoy. You know that old saying, "the grass isn't always greener..." - well it doesn't hold true for the Seattle area.
You're not missing much here - it's been raining for a while and forecast to rain until Sunday. It's staring to feel like fall finally. Before you know it, it will be Christmas (Bah-Humbug!)
Ok - it's back to work for me. Please let me know if you need anything from the East Coast.
Give my love to all,
mike
