We finally made it here.
So, the adventure this morning was finding out the plane was drastically over-sold. We were flexible, so we wound up leaving @ 1430 on a puddle jumper to DC instead of Chicago. No A/C or fan at all and one of the bumpiest rides and landings I've had in a while. The trip from DC to Seattle was long, but not at all bad. The moderate extra leg room in economy plus (free upgrade due to the change of schedule) was nice and I wound up sleeping most of the way. There was an adorable 10 month old keeping Mary's attention between iPod tunes, reading and e-Sudoku (she cannot sleep on planes).
The Watertown hotel is very nice (& "green") and my ultimate destination is 1-block away. We really didn't "need" a rental car, but it will be handy when investigating housing areas Sunday.
We made it down to the University District tonight and grabbed some very tasty fish n' chips @ Finn MacCool's and some outstanding direct trade coffee at the Trabant Chai Lounge. *No* smoking in the hotel and at the dining establishments.
Time is catching up with us both, so look for more tomorrow.
Made it to the airport for real this time (more on that in a trip summary later). We leave @ 1430, so we've got ~1 hr to kill. *Not* looking forward to the 5.5 hr trip from DC to Seattle. At least LVIA has free wireless internet access.
