Home For Sale

Our HouseWell, our (hopefully) soon-to-be-former abode is on the market. MLS# 281236 if you prefer to use something besides that realtor.com link.

The sooner you buy our home, the faster we'll all be together in Seattle.

Pictures should be up at that link soon. If not, I'll get the link of the CB Heritage site which should have pix.

To all former work colleagues: in case anyone is looking for a home to relocate to from NJ, it might be cool to post a printout of the listing to the bulletin boards over there *:^)

UPDATE: the link above has tons of pix and a 360 view (needs Java in the browser, apologies). We're open to the right offer and even have a warranty on the house.

Housing Update Part Deux

Two prospects: 9051 11th Ave SW (MLS# 27119126) and 7918 10th Ave SW (MLS# 27029317). Nice houses. They'll probably sell before ours, tho. Sigh.

Housing Update

Two developments on the real estate front to report.

First, I'm moving!. Mary found a nice place for me that's closer to work and significantly less creepy (and cheaper!) than Extended Stay America. I'm not gonna miss this place. I should be in the new place around August 9th, the same day Mary & Tori arrive for a week's visit.

Second, the house I went nuts over is no longer on the market. Sigh.

I have a day of house hunting ahead of me, so I will hopefully have more to report later.

Rudis Compound on Zillow

I noticed Zillow hadn't picked up our home for sale, so I updated the for sale info.

You can visit that link or refer folks to:

Redfin Rocks

I didn't do much before the previous post but glance at the Redfin listings that came up for my specific MLS#'s, but I had a chance to play with it a bit and it's probably one of the best real estate search tools out there.

For us, the best view is bringing up a map area, add some filtering criteria and scroll through the listings.

You can see for yourself!

It's a shame this isn't a nation-wide tool, but it works for our purposes!

Tales From the House Hunt

I'm tired. I didn't think a day of looking @ houses could be tiring, but it is. We went all over and I liked two places, but this one, over in West Seattle, is - as far as I'm concerned - our new house.

It just needs to stay on the market long enough, and not go up in price, before our current home sells.
